How to download an .apk file on your Android phone via USB
- Download the free ASTRO File Manager (or another file manager for Android OS) on your Android phone.
- Connect your phone to a PC via a USB cable and copy the application’s .apk file to the appropriate folder on your phone.
- Disconnect the phone and PC.
- Open ASTRO File Manager on your phone and find the .apk file.
- Run it and follow on-screen instructions (Open App Manager->Install. After installation click 'Open' and confirm dictionary database downloading).
- Register the program (Menu->Registration) by entering the license code that you have received via e-mail.

There are two ways to add a widget to your
mobile device’s home screen.
The first way is to press and hold a free spot on your
home screen until the “Add to Home screen” menu appears, then tap “Widgets”. You may then select the

How to enter language-specific characters (diacritic, tilde, umlaut, etc.)
In order to
enter language-specific characters, you must first install a virtual keyboard that contains multilingual
characters. There are a number of free options available on https://market.android.com/.
Once
installed, please select the virtual keyboard as the main input method under Settings->Language&
keyboard settings.You may then choose your required language in the keyboard settings.

What are the requirements and limitations in using Google Voice Search?
In order to use
Google Voice Search in conjunction with Slovoed dictionaries, your device must support Google voice
recognition service and have an available internet connection.
Search service for
German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Polish, Czech and Turkish languages is available for OS 2.2
and higher. Search for English is available for OS 1.6 and higher.
How to download sound modules if they were not installed during dictionary installation
To
download sound modules after dictionary installation, open the Slovoed application and select Menu->Components,
then select the required sound modules to download.
How to move an app to the SD card
To move an app to the SD card, please select the
required application from Settings->Applications->Manage Applications under the “Storage” section,
and tap the “Move to SD” button. Please note that this feature is available only for OS 2.2 and higher.

How to register an app
You may register your application purchase by entering the
license code that you received via e-mail under Menu->Registration.
How can I translate a whole phrase or sentence?
You may translate whole phrases or
entire sentences directly from the clipboard by using the handy clipboard translation feature. Just tap
the required word of a blue-colored text, which indicates that these word translations were found in the
Slovoed database, to view individual entries.

application is an excellent tool to improve your memory and increase your language skills. In order to
begin using the Flash Cards feature, you must purchase and install the Flash Cards Quiz from Android
Market or penreader.com.
What do I do if the first five symbols (code prefix) of the license code that I received via e-mail differs from that of the application?

How to install a dictionary on your device
There are two ways to install an app on your device.
The first way is to install the .zip file to a PC and transfer the files to your phone.
- Open (extract) the .zip file. You will see several .sis files in the “Program” folder.
- Connect your phone to a PC in PC Suite mode using a USB cable.
- Run the PC Suite program.
- Drag-and-drop one of the .sis files to the Nokia PC Suite (the area with a smartphone icon)
- Confirm the program’s installation.
- Complete the installation process by specifying storage location and accepting all license agreements.
- Repeat steps 4-6 with all remaining .sis files.
- Disconnect the phone from the PC.
- Run the installed dictionary.
- To complete installation process, please register the program immediately by entering the license code received via email with your application purchase. You may also use the dictionary in demo mode for 5 days.
The second way is to install the .sis files directly to your phone. Please note that an Internet connection is required for this method.
- Follow the instructions and install the downloaded .sis file.
- Run the installed dictionary.
- The application will prompt you for the need to install databases. In order to do this, please click the required dictionary under Menu->Catalog of products.
- Choose your preferred Internet connection. Please ensure the Internet connection is switched on in order to complete dictionary database installation.
- Exit the “Catalog of products."
- To complete the installation process, please register the program immediately by entering the license code received via email with your application purchase. You may also use the dictionary in demo mode for 5 days.
How do I switch language directions?
If your smartphone has a touch screen (OS Symbian S60 5.0, Symbian^3, Anna or Belle), click on the language pair displayed at the top of the screen above the words list (please view the screenshot).
You can also switch language direction under Options->Direction->Reverse. In order to select a required language, go to Options->Direction->Choose.

How to install several dictionaries (language directions) under one brand
Several dictionaries related to one brand (for example, English<->Russian Slovoed and German<->Russian Slovoed) are accessible under one Slovoed icon.
In order to install more than one dictionary of one brand, you should:
- Open (extract) all .zip files containing the downloaded dictionaries.
- Each .zip file contains one .sis file with the same name. Install this .sis file once.*
- Install all other files on your device via PC Suite.
- Run the installed dictionary under Applications->Installed apps.
- In order to switch dictionaries, go to Options->Direction->Choose and select the required language from the list.
* Re-installing this file will not remove previously installed dictionaries.
How to install a dictionary on your device
There are two ways to install an app on your device.
The first way is to install the .exe file via PC using the Microsoft ActiveSync application.
- Make sure that Microsoft ActiveSync is installed on your PC.
- Connect your phone to the PC with a USB cable.
- Run the dictionary’s .exe file, and the “Setup Wizard” window will appear.
- If you have a registration code, then enter it into the appropriate box and click the “Next” button. Otherwise, the demo version will be installed and you can register the application directly on the smartphone.
- Select all program components you’d like to install (to ensure the application runs properly, we recommend installing all components).
- Specify where to install the dictionary
- either on the device’s main memory storage or onto the SD card.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the dictionary installation on your mobile phone.
- Run the installed dictionary.
The second way is to install the .cab file directly to your Windows Mobile device. Please note that an Internet connection is required for this method.
- Download the .cab file to your device and run it.
- Specify where to install the dictionary
- either on the device’s main memory storage or onto the SD card.
- Accept the license agreement. After clicking “I agree,” the installation process will be completed automatically.
- Run the installed dictionary.
- The application will prompt you to specify where to install the dictionary databases, either on main memory storage or on the SD card.
- Choose your preferred Internet connection and follow the onscreen instructions.
- After successful installation, the program will start automatically. You may register the program at once or use the dictionary’s demo mode for 14 days.
